Blue Triangle Community Center is committed to serving a multicultural population.  The
organizations history extends beyond 1952. The Houston area community planned and
implemented recreational activities, leisure learning and fun activities on a daily basis at the center.

The Board of Directors are determined to eradicate youth drownings in Houston, "the highest
percent of drowning deaths are African American children and youths". A year round "learn to
swim" program is centerfold. Professional  and dedicated (Aquatic) swim instructors and life
guards are the nucleus of our successful program.

Magnificently preserved in (suite 15) is a mural painted by the late Dr. John T. Biggers, world
renown artist. The mural is titled
" The Negro Woman in American Life and Education" is a
visual message said to be both "Spiritual and Provocative", bringing the past, embracing the
present and providing hope for the future!
